Craftsy’s Consumer Analytics team has the exciting and challenging goal of enhancing initiatives across the company through smart, timely, and actionable insights and strategy straight from our consumers. Craftsy is seeking a highly effective Insights leader to ensure delivery of actionable insights and build the team’s influence and visibility within our organization. S/he will work cross-functionally, translate ambiguous questions into structured research plans yielding high-quality results, and build trust with a variety of teams and stakeholders.
〈 Develop a research agenda that consistently pushes our consumer understanding forward by prioritizing impactful research and gaining buy-in from key stakeholders
〈 Adeptly coordinate with multiple internal stakeholders, manage projects to schedule, and deliver actionable insights that advance important company initiatives
〈 Develop, manage, and facilitate all aspects of research projects to integrate customer feedback into the planning, execution, and evaluation of our business (including research executed both internally and externally)
〈 Dig into data and emerge with compelling and clear evidence-based stories that other Craftsy teams can easily understand and leverage directly in their own work
〈 Manage and develop one or more direct reports to maximize the team’s business impact
〈 Push to advance his/her own skill set and the capacity/capability of our team in order to provide new and increasingly more effective research
〈 At least 5 years working in a consumer insights role
〈 A track record of taking research projects from conception to completion with clear, useful results
〈 A data-driven mind that is comfortable working with both Qual and Quant and teasing out insights across multiple sources of data
〈 The ability to step back and understand how an insight or observation fits within the broader business objective
〈 Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills

〈 3+ years of insights career has been in-house with a consumer business (not an agency)
〈 A passion for understanding our consumer. You are the type of person who is constantly wondering “how does this work?” or “why is this done this way?” — meaning you are strongly empathetic and curious.
〈 Experience working on consumer technology products and/or for a small/medium size company
〈 A startup person at heart (even if you don’t have startup experience) who is flexible, comfortable with ambiguity and able to flex the role s/he plays depending on the situation
〈 Experience with an online survey tool, SPSS, STATA, or R a plus
