Responsibilities

The Medea team supports the Affiliate sales process and the role will involve capturing information about affiliate sales distribution Agreements (both financial and legal information) into the Medea contract management system. The roles to support the Affiliate Sales Process will be logically grouped as:

• Medea System support and general assistance

• Contract data entry, legal support and analysis

• Reporting and analysis of data

The Medea Team will therefore work closely with the Legal, Sales and Finance departments in the following regions: UK, EMEA, Italy, Spain, AsiaPac, France, Russia and CIS and Germany and the Central Finance Department.

This role will report directly to the Medea Manager and will work within the Medea Legal Team, alongside another Contract Analyst. However, the legal elements of the role will also be supervised by the Vice President of Legal and Business Affairs.

Qualifications/Requirements

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

•Inputting new contracts and amendments into Medea accurately and efficiently; including inputting rates and financial details to ensure agreements bill correctly.

•Identify UNI’s commitments in the distribution agreements (e.g. clauses relating to UNI’s right to re-brand and assign, termination rights, marketing obligations, exclusivity) and enter correctly into Medea.

•Assist in business queries on Medea

•Assist the Medea Manager in compiling documentation/ user guides.

•Support billing and answer queries from Central Finance.

•Business Partner with the wider NBCU International Medea community, improving processes and finding efficiencies.

•Monitor approvals in Regions and chase for sign off when needed.

•Provide regular weekly, monthly & ad hoc reports to the Regions and business.

•Perform system data maintenance (e.g. – auto renews, inactivating terminations, flagging contracts as ‘expired’ when they run past their end dates and do not include an AR).

•Run data structure reports to ensure data in Medea stays correct.

•Quality checking the data input into Medea.

•Monitor Medea Legal inbox and respond to queries.

•Obtain signatures from the relevant Directors for New Deals or Renewals

•Ad hoc work on projects as requested by the Medea Manager

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

•Previous experience of contract management and/or billing systems is essential

•Prior experience of working with and from legal contracts is desirable.

•Attention to detail and willingness to resolve ambiguity.

•Analytical skills are essential

•Proactive with excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication, planning and time management skills.

•Proven ability to work to deadlines, prioritise, and perform as part of a team to meet team objectives.

•Desktop skills – Good Knowledge of MS office Excel & Word essential.

•Experience working in a Television or International Media environment is desirable, but not essential

•Knowledge of the Medea Contract Management system is desirable, but not essential.
