Primary Responsibilities include, and are not limited to, floor directing, robotic studio cameras, manual cameras, lighting as assigned and cross-training in additional control room functions.
Responsible for SNG/D-ENG/Bonded Cell acquisition, recording and play-out of feeds from servers.
Monitor inbound and outbound video/audio levels, Closed Captioning, Pro-Bel Morpheus ingest systems, Omneon Servers, Satellite Antenna Controllers, HD/SDI IRD’s, RF routers, Troll Microwave acquisition systems, and Sony/Ikegami Cameras.
Ingest and quality check content.
The individual must have a minimum of 1 year broadcast experience.
Must be able to perform medium/heavy physical work which includes:
Frequent lifting/carrying/hanging equipment ranging 30 - 40 lbs. in weight including set pieces, furniture, monitors, wall sections and other equipment.
Lifting/carrying equipment while ascending/descending 16ft. ladder or Arial platform/hydraulic lift to heights of 20ft.
Must be willing to work at the station in Miramar location
Must be willing to take drug test and submit to a background investigation
Must be 18 years or older
Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
Must be covered by Solutions, NBCU’s Alternative Dispute Resolution Program
Work overtime and on weekends with short notice
• BA or equivalent Television Production focused curriculum
• The applicant must be able to multi task and work in a group environment serving two television stations simultaneously
• Previous floor directing and studio camera experience
• Robotic and/or handheld camera experience
• Character generator experience
• Audio experience
• Familiarization of Microsoft office applications including Outlook and Excel
• Familiarization of newsroom computer systems such as Dalet and iNEWS
• Knowledge of satellite acquisition including digital and analog receivers
• Bilingual- Spanish/English preferred
