Responsibilities

Role Summary:

The Programmatic Sales Account Executive will play a critical role within our fast paced advertising sales team with a focus on driving revenue through a suite of programmatic audience products, as a key component of our sales offerings across digital and linear properties. This role will report directly into to the VP of Audience Studio Sales, managing relationships with clients, ad tech partners, and media agencies and collaborating with key stakeholders across the NBCU organization in order to meet revenue goals. Advanced knowledge of the digital advertising landscape and ability to operate effectively at the cross-section of traditional and new media are critical to achieving success in this role.

Responsibilities:

• This position is highly-visible and plays a key part in the overall linear and digital programmatic growth strategy by driving new revenue streams through strong client relationships, technology expertise and analytics

• Use data to identify strategic opportunities to engage buyers and drive revenue

• Serve as subject matter expert on everything programmatic (digital and linear)

• Communicate and educate prospects and clients on how NBCU delivers superior ROI

• Position the value and the vision of aligning brands with real-time audience trends

• Establish and cultivate relationships with demand providers, such as Brands, DSPs, ATDs, agency leads, and direct clients

• Drive programmatic advertising revenue via private marketplace, audience targeted digital, programmatic guaranteed, and programmatic television sales

• Manage existing programmatic clients and scale up our partnerships

• Help shape our programmatic strategy and approach, including the development of new programmatic offerings and refining the PMP sales story

• Work closely with internal programmatic and ad ops teams to set up, manage and optimize programs

• Ability to collaborate and maintain effective working relationships within a cross-functional matrixed organization

Qualifications/Requirements

Qualifications:

• Proven track record of exceeding all revenue goals

• Highly independent, motivated self-starter with the ability to excel in all aspects of the sales process (prospecting, high stakes pitch presentations, consultative sales, closing, and strategic account management and upsell)

• Extensive knowledge of online ad technology landscape including SSPs, exchange/RTB functionality, header bidding solutions, and general industry trends

• Established industry contacts and rolodex, especially at Agencies, Agency Trading Desks, and DSPs

• Ability to take a data-driven approach to maximizing revenue across a broad portfolio of premium properties on all platforms

• Highly analytical, strategic thinker, problem solver

• Experience in audience packaging and selling

• Ability to assimilate data and research and thrive in a data-driven environment

• Highly organized and strong attention to detail

• Team player with ability to work in a fast-paced, exciting environment

• Understanding of the agency, client landscape and ad-tech environments and comfort driving opportunity in all contexts

• Ability to interpret programmatic data patterns (delivery, bid rates, win rates, etc.)

• Interest in cultivating a book of business from the ground up

• Entrepreneurial type with strong interpersonal skills and work ethic

• Ability to lead projects independently from start to finish, working with internal and external teams to make decisions and maintain forward momentum

• Ability to thrive in a team-oriented startup environment

• Exceptional verbal, written, presentation and communication skills with ability to translate technical concepts for a broad audience

• Excellent time management / project management skills, with ability to manage detailed work and communicate deal status effectively to all levels

• Exceptional with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

Eligibility Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years in digital advertising, with at least with 3+ years of experience in programmatic advertising sales
