In this role, the Manager is responsible for pacing, quarter close, budgeting, forecasting, and providing all analytical support of the Free TV, Pay TV & SVOD platforms for Theatrical product in the US and Canada markets. The Manager will also work closely with the Finance Manager for TV product to learn and gain cross-functional knowledge to support both areas as needed. This is an integral part of the finance team based in NY and will work closely with the Sales, Accounting, Admin, Legal, and Global distribution teams, and will also be the point-person for the Universal Pictures Film group.


  • Perform pacing and quarterly close procedures, including revenue recognition and reconciliations performed between underlying accounting systems and financial reporting systems, as well as communicating variance explanation to the product owners

  • Maintain and track film ultimates for all US & Canada distribution platforms, with an emphasis on creating and aligning new tracking reports for better visibility and efficiency

  • Prepare theatrical allocations and maintenance of rate cards, DBO tracking, pre-release estimates, etc.

  • Assist with the preparation and consolidation of the annual plan, LRP and regular re-forecasting of revenue, costs, and cash for all product owners

  • Assist with consolidation of revenue, costs, cash and variance explanations for monthly op reviews

  • Work closely with the TV Finance Manager for cross training and knowledge of the Television business

  • Participate in meetings with the sales personnel, ensuring forecasts are updated accordingly

  • Prepare presentations for senior management

  • Execution and completion as necessary of ad hoc reports and other special projects


Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field

  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in finance or accounting, performing quantitative analysis, and/or forecasting

  • Demonstrated self-starting, detail-oriented team player with experience interacting with senior operational and finance executives

  • Strong experience working with Excel and utilizing pivot tablesAdditional Job Requirements
