Responsibilities

The Marketing Manager position will assist in marketing and increasing sales for the Olympics Network Partnership and Sales teams. He/She must have the ability to interface with internal constituencies (sales, management, research, and programming) in order to secure requisite input/approvals for business opportunities. Individual must also have the ability to interface with external customers (advertisers, agencies) and translate the needs of the target brand into “sellable” programs that generate revenue for NBC Universal. In summary, the individual needs to:

A. Effectively translate a brand’s/client’s needs into actionable on-air and/or 360 marketing solutions. B. Effectively translate Olympics on-air and digital editorial initiatives into sellable opportunities and communicate these opportunities to the sales team.

Responsibilities:

• Manage big idea generation for all Olympic platforms which includes discussion with editorial and production regularly to ensure concept feasibility and delivery

• Generate new sales opportunities: Create multi-platform programs as well as working with portfolio counterparts to build high-interest 360 experiences that are customized to fit specific client objectives. Ideally for both The Olympics & The Olympic Channel. Ability to proactively ideate on creation of custom content

• Create, socialize and execute packaging strategies identifying opportunities by sport (Summer & Winter games), property (NBCOlympics.com, NBCSports.com), event and new development platforms

• Facilitate regular communications with various internal departments (Production, Pricing & Planning, Social, Sales and Research) to ensure awareness of current and future opportunities

Qualifications/Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience at an agency, media company or sales organization with a primary focus on Marketing Solutions within a multiplatform discipline

• Ability to work under pressure, recognize problems and find solutions

• College degree
