The Manager, Technical Accounting and Policy, will serve as the technical accounting subject matter expert with respect to the company’s generally accepted accounting policies, and to ensure quality and timeliness of financial guidance throughout the company’s finance organization. This position will report to the Senior Manager and will work closely with the Manager in the group.
Develop and support the maintenance of accounting policies across the NBCUniversal operating segments
Collaborate with divisions to ensure compliance with accounting policies and assist in resolving questions
Perform research on accounting, industry trends
Coordinate with Comcast and external auditors on technical accounting matters
Monitor standard setter activity and implement emerging accounting pronouncements
Maintain contract approval system and accounting database
Work closely with corporate groups related to implementation of accounting standards and recognition/reporting of complex accounting matters and transactions
Assist in the review of standalone financial statements
Support the organization of global accounting trainings
Minimum of 4 years big four audit experience
Bachelor's degree in Accounting and/or Finance, MBA is a plus
High degree of technical proficiency required
Experience with performing complex accounting research and technical activitiesEligibility Requirements
