Responsibilities

NBC News is seeking a Set Producer to join the third hour of the TODAY Show.

Job Duties

  • Manage the rundown during breaking news situations

  • Works with graphic designers and editors to shepherd projects through entire production process.

  • Develop innovative shoot ideas for segments

  • Manage edits for already existing copy

  • Partner with team for brainstorming and script-writing

  • Write, produce and edit the Opens, Intros and Teases

Qualifications/Requirements

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, Communications or similar discipline.

  • A minimum of five years’ experience on a network or morning broadcast.

  • Ability to work in a high-pressure environment and handle breaking news situations & last minute changes

  • Excellent creative writing and management skills

  • Ability to take scripts that were previously written by producers and edit as necessary

  • Ability to work early morning shift, beginning at approximately 4am

  • Must be proficient in iNewsAdditional Job Requirements
