Responsibilities

NBC News Digital is seeking a Product Manager to be responsible for user acquisition and engagement. This will include managing the newsletter product and platform for all NBC News brands and verticals. The ideal candidate is analytical, curious, has a knack for testing and optimization with experience shipping product features to a broad audience. Working cross-functionally and with key stakeholders, you’ll pay an instrumental role in growing our loyal audience and keeping them engaged on multiple platforms. Experience with audience segmentation, customer relationship management and consumer marketing is a plus.

Job Duties

  • Work closely with editorial, marketing and audience development teams to launch, manage and optimize new product features designed to acquire and engage users and grow loyalty

  • Own the product roadmap and platform for newsletters and other tools that foster closer relationships with our digital audience

  • Analyze data and identify opportunities to develop new features or communications that improve user acquisition and extend our reach on various platforms

  • Collaborate with developers and designers in a cross-functional team to ship and iterate features and improve overall product performance according to business KPIs

  • Communicate and collaborate with internal stakeholders to share the product vision and roadmap

  • Foster an agile way of working, not for the sake of a fervent belief in a methodology, but because it will deliver outstanding results

Qualifications/Requirements

Basic Qualifications

  • An understanding of what’s happening in media today… and more importantly, what will be happening tomorrow

  • Demonstrated ability to deliver detailed orientated work without losing sight of the big picture

  • 5 + years of experience in managing digital products, ideally in a publishing or marketing environment

  • Undergraduate degree, ideally with strong quantitative componentsAdditional Job Requirements
