CNBC Make It is looking for a talented PA for its expanding video team.

The ideal candidate will be flexible and nimble in a fast-paced, breaking news environment. Our PA will work on all stages of short-form video content, and will embrace the unique opportunity to collaborate with broadcast, insights, product, & technology stakeholders. The Production Assistant’s responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

-Assisting writers and producers in the development, production, & delivery of original video content—this includes day-of stories, features, premium content, & video series/franchises

-Writing breaking news or enterprise stories to accompany video on an as-needed basis


-Links to online portfolio and/or work samples are required

-At least 1 year of experience in full-cycle video production for a live TV, print news, or digital platform

-Must have experience shooting original content using DSLR cameras and editing video on Adobe Premiere and/or Final Cut

-Strong video editing and scriptwriting skills, breaking news journalism experience a plus

-Must be able to ideate, prioritize, & multi-task under tight, daily deadlines

-Will bring expertise, or demonstrate a quick study in utilizing major social media platforms

-Position requires early morning, late night, overnight, & weekend shifts as needed.
