The Position

The SVP Data Product Management will be responsible for leading, managing, and developing the Data Product Management team within the Enterprise Business Intelligence organization. This team will champion the Data-as-a-Product mindset and work in close partnership with the CIO organization and the Audience Studio to promote broader awareness and enable greater utilization of data assets across multiple business units at NBCU (Entertainment, Cable, News, Sports, Parks & Resorts, Films, etc.). The team will be responsible for maintaining a broad NBCU perspective on the data landscape while key individuals will possess specific data domain expertise regarding assets, source systems, processing standards, and data quality.


Advocacy for Enterprise Data

  • Establish themselves as a data champion for the organization

  • Adopt and advocate for a data-as-a-product mindset

  • Passionate advocate for utilization of data and advanced analytics to inform critical business decisions Leading Collaboration across the Enterprise

  • Responsible for raising the data-quotient among business partners by generating awareness, providing expertise and facilitating engagement with a wide range of data assets within and across business units

  • Provide data-centric solutions for businesses, complementing existing business teams with additional resources, perspectives, ideas and solutions

  • Implement an enterprise-wide strategic vision to consistently leverage data assets within and across businesses for maximum value to the organization

  • Collaborate with EBI leadership, the CIO organization, and Audience Studio leadership to deliver a single converged enterprise data asset/environment Change Leadership

  • Incorporate broad knowledge to address complex, unusual, and critical issues; not intimidated to explore and find potential new and innovative ways to solve complex challenges

  • Develop goals, strategies, plans needed to achieve the EBI mission of creating value and informing critical business decisions through advanced analytics and a broader utilization of data assets

  • Recognize profitability and revenue potential in business opportunities and champion new ways to capitalize on them Leadership

  • Member of the senior leadership team for NBCU Enterprise Business Intelligence organization; strong partnership and collaborative working relationship with other senior leaders within the team

  • Establish and maintain strong, collaborative working relationships with key senior leadership within various Business units

  • Attract, develop, mentor, coach, and retain top talent

  • Create a clear vision and specific measurable goals for team members


Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum 15 years of experience in analytics with increasing responsibility in the Entertainment, Media, Communications, Financial Services or related industries

  • A Bachelors’ degree is requiredAdditional Requirements
