Responsibilities

Role Purpose

The Vice President, Business & Legal Affairs, will oversee all transactional legal work for NBCUniversal’s Digital Enterprises group. Primary job duties involve drafting and negotiating contracts, including license and distribution agreements for the exploitation and monetization of “digital first” and “digital derivative” programming.

Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, negotiate, and interpret contracts and other documents, including primarily agreements relating to the distribution of “digital first” and “digital derivative” programming in various media (including AVOD and SVOD).

  • Advise and coordinate with business development executives, marketing, technology experts and others to identify and resolve business and legal issues (including issues relating to contract interpretation) and provide ongoing counsel, advice and support.

  • Provide oversight of general legal and business practices and standards and oversight of certain regulatory and other legal compliance matters relating to content distribution

  • Create and update forms.

  • Other matters at the direction of the Senior Vice President, Business & Legal Affairs.

Qualifications/Requirements

Basic Qualifications

  • JD

  • Member of a state bar in good standing.

  • A minimum of 3 years of professional experience practicing corporate/transactional law at a major law firm.

  • Minimum 10 years of law experience either in-house or at a firmEligibility Requirements
