Responsibilities

SUMMARY: Lead efforts to analyze and optimize guest touchpoints throughout the guest lifecycle. Bring forward insights on the effectiveness and impact of our guest communications, including traditional touchpoints as well as in-park messaging, to provide the guest with a seamless, personalized experience. Perform comparative analytics, controlling for extraneous factors, to make better decisions on how to best communicate with guests. Translate guest experience data into insightful and actionable information to proactively guide guests through their vacation journey, maximize business performance, and improve guest satisfaction.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage ad-hoc and deep-dive analyses for guest communication initiatives by querying, mining, analyzing, and visualizing data.

  • Lead comparative analyses to show optimal timing, cadence, and content for messages across guest segments, and elicit insights into guest-level characteristics that influence responsiveness to our communications.

  • Partner with data science team to enhance guest targeting and personalization by combining insights derived from analytics with statistical methods and data science.

  • Create and deliver compelling, cohesive stories to decision-makers on the performance of marketing efforts and recommend how to best interact with guests.

SCOPE: This role is responsible for personalization, testing, and deep-dive analyses for at the guest level.

Qualifications/Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to evaluate quantitative data sets and determine “big picture” implications

  • Experience in preparing and manipulating datasets for analysis

  • Experience in displaying data using a data visualization programs (i.e., Tableau)

  • Experience with statistical software (SPSS, SAS, R, Python)

  • Experience writing complex queries in SQL to pull data from large datasets

  • Experience in performing statistical comparisons

  • Experience in datamining and model-building

  • Working knowledge of marketing, media and customer segmentation strategy required

  • Ability to handle multiple projects required

  • Desire to work in a fast paced environment required

  • Proficiency communicating research results in written, visual and verbal form required

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Statistics, Computer Science or related (or business-related Bachelor's in analysis-related program) required.

EXPERIENCE: 3-5 years prior hands-on experience with analytics leveraging R or SPSS preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
