SUMMARY: The Consumer Insights Intern will provide project support to the Consumer Insights field staff. The intern will provide support to the leadership team with regards to scheduling, monitoring, reporting and training.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Scheduling full-time and part-time Team Members

  • Quality assurance monitoring

  • Report verification and distribution

  • Training field interviewing Team Members and mystery shop Team Members

  • Data entry

  • Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established Universal Orlando policy, procedures, training and Team Member involvement activities.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Provides guests with accurate information. Practices “Look, Focus, Act” by continuously scanning the work environment and recognizing the service needs of guests and fellow Team Members. Takes ownership and demonstrates active listening and effective questioning to identify suitable, personalized options to efficiently meet or preferably exceed the service expectations of our guests or Team Members. Applies service recovery, as warranted.

Requirements

REQUIREMENTS:

  • In pursuit of an Associate, Bachelor or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution

  • Current class standing of Sophomore or above

  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above (official transcripts available upon request)

  • Must have a valid FL driver's license

  • Consistent attendance is a job requirement

  • Approximate dates of this internship are from late August 2017 - early December 2017

  • Availability requirement typically includes 24-40 hours per week; Monday through Friday (may include weekends)

  • Preferred majors include: Business, Marketing, Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, other Social Sciences

  • Preferred coursework completed: Statistics or Market Research

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be able to type at least 35wpm.

  • Must be analytical and have excellent critical thinking skills.

  • Must be efficient in Microsoft Office Programs including, but not limited to: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, problem-solving abilities and organization.

  • Exceptional attention to detail.

  • Superior written & verbal communication skills.

  • Work in a fast-paced environment and adhere to deadlines.

  • Ability to work autonomously and/or in teams.

  • Prior internship experience is preferred.
