SUMMARY:Intern will be integrated into the daily project development of network systems engineering while learning and experiencing the issues, challenges and rewards in a “real world” setting.


  • Coordinates with Facilities for information gathering and coordination.

  • Coordinates with engineering disciplines for information gathering and coordination.

  • Assists with strategy and design and network models to increase segregation and security.

  • Assists with Security Surveillance Systems including supporting systems such as Access Control and Building Management.

  • Assists with updates to technical specifications.

  • Assists with proof of concept testing of new technology.

  • Assists Project Coordinator in drafting agendas and meeting minutes.

  • Assists supervising Engineer in RFI management, public tender and RFP documents.

  • Assists team in presentation development.

  • Participates in team/coordination meetings.

  • Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established Universal Orlando policy, procedures, training and Team Member involvement activities.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.



  • In pursuit of an Associate, Bachelor or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution

  • Current class standing of Sophomore or above

  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above (official transcripts available upon request)

  • Consistent attendance is a job requirement

  • Approximate dates of this internship are from late-August 2017 – early December 2017

  • Availability requirement typically includes 24-40 hours per week; Monday through Friday.

  • Preferred majors include: Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Network Security Technical Degree

  • Preferred coursework completed: Electrical Networks, Wireless Networks, Fiber Optics, Communication Systems, Calculus, Computer Networks and Systems, Surveillance Systems, Security


  • Experience with drafting, Photoshop and 3D modeling preferred

  • Interest in Command Center Design and Operations, Enterprise Network Systems, Electrical, RF and Network Engineering

  • Must be efficient in Microsoft Office Programs including, but not limited to: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Strong interpersonal skills, problem-solving abilities and organization

  • Exceptional attention to detail

  • Superior written & verbal communication skills

  • Work in a fast-paced environment and adhere to deadlines

  • Ability to work autonomously and/or in teams

  • Prior internship experience is preferred
