SUMMARY:Assists with day-to-day information distribution, media coverage tracking, celebrity visits, media visits/FAM trips, TV shoots, etc., with a focus on the Latin America and US Hispanic markets.


  • Track media coverage for Latin America and US Hispanic markets

  • Write in-language blog posts

  • Develop various press materials, including press releases and photo captions

  • Assist with implementing tactics and event planning, including broadcast shoots

  • Regularly update media contact lists

  • Assist media wanting to experience Universal Orlando (complimentary tickets, tours, etc) and logging relevant information for their visits

  • Gather materials for media and blogger giveaways

  • Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established Universal Orlando policy, procedures, training and Team Member involvement activities

  • Perform other duties as assigned


Practices the Universal Orlando Service Expectations–Set the Stage, Know Your Stuff, Wow’em Now, Be a Hero. Adheres to Universal Orlando’s appearance and wardrobe guidelines. Provides guests with accurate information. Practices “Look, Focus, Act” by continuously scanning the work environment and recognizing the service needs of guests and fellow Team Members. Takes ownership and demonstrates active listening and effective questioning to identify suitable, personalized options to efficiently meet or preferably exceed the service expectations of our guests or Team Members. Applies service recovery, as warranted.



  • In pursuit of an Associate, Bachelor or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution

  • Current class standing of Junior or above

  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above (official transcripts available upon request)

  • Consistent attendance is a job requirement

  • Approximate dates of this internship are from late August 2017 – early December 2017

  • Availability requirement typically includes 24-40 hours per week; Monday through Friday (may include weekends)

  • Preferred coursework completed: Public Relations, Communications


  • Fluent in Spanish OR Portuguese

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Previous experience in professional environment

  • “Go-getter” attitude

  • Ability to have professional interactions with media contacts in person, by phone and via email

  • Interested in learning about Public Relations

  • Must be efficient in Microsoft Office Programs including, but not limited to: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Strong interpersonal skills, problem-solving abilities and organization

  • Exceptional attention to detail

  • Superior written & verbal communication skills

  • Work in a fast-paced environment and adhere to deadlines

  • Ability to work autonomously and/or in teams

  • Prior internship experience is preferred
