SUMMARY:To assist in the assessment and improvement of Sales and Marketing initiatives with travel partners. Monitor digital marketing/social media campaigns by our clients to determine how to better optimize social media marketing opportunities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Evaluate clients’ websites and determine if Universal Orlando’s presence is prominent or needs improvement

  • Present department with ideas to improve digital presence

  • Report on each partners’ website ratings and ranking Universal Orlando’s presence in comparison to competitors’

  • Provide insight and recommendations to improve marketing positioning

  • Contribute to the development of marketing campaigns

  • Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established Universal Orlando policy, procedures, training and Team Member involvement activities

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Takes ownership and demonstrates active listening and effective questioning to identify suitable, personalized options to efficiently meet or preferably exceed the service expectations of our guests or Team Members. Applies service recovery, as warranted.

Requirements

REQUIREMENTS:

  • In pursuit of an Associate, Bachelor or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution

  • Current class standing of Sophomore or above

  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above (official transcripts available upon request)

  • Consistent attendance is a job requirement

  • Approximate dates of this internship are from late August 2017 – early December 2017

  • Availability requirement typically includes 24-40 hours per week; Monday through Friday (may include weekends)

  • Preferred majors include: Hospitality Sales, Business Management, Marketing, Advertising, Social Media Marketing, and Business.

  • Related coursework: Business Development, Hospitality Management, Sales and Marketing, Digital Marketing, Computer Classes, Social Media Marketing, Public Relations, Advertising.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong Computer skills, quick learner on new software

  • Strong presentation skills

  • Must be efficient in Microsoft Office Programs including, but not limited to: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Strong interpersonal skills, problem-solving abilities and organization

  • Exceptional attention to detail

  • Superior written & verbal communication skills

  • Work in a fast-paced environment and adhere to deadlines

  • Ability to work autonomously and/or in teams

  • Prior internship experience is preferred
