The Japanese Operations Coordinator will be responsible for English↔Japanese translation of department communications to/from senior management, Japanese media partners, and relevant parties. The Coordinator will also coordinate department communications documents, schedules, and presentations; as well as, transcribe and translate English and Japanese programming and production elements as requested.

Job Duties

  • Accurately and confidentially translate written communications to/from senior management, Japanese media partners, and relevant parties (English↔Japanese)

  • Coordinate onboarding of department freelancers, fellows, interns and guest talent including badges, desk assignments, computer/Wi-Fi access, and other requests as needed

  • Request travel arrangements and prepare related expense reports and invoices for department guests and freelancers

  • Create department communication documents including hours counts, programming availability, work hours requirements, etc. as needed

  • Assist with bilingual Japanese/English PowerPoint presentations for All In Scorecard updates, Sales presentations, and training tools as needed

  • Review feed change communications and relay applicable personnel shift requests to department management, production manager and Facilities Scheduling

  • Submit tournament feed window requests to scheduling group

  • Draft and update commentary team personnel schedules

  • Transcribe English programming in preparation for localization

  • Transcribe Japanese language programming to English for senior management review

  • Request Media Silo links and other proof of performance content as needed

  • Submit ingest and archive requests

  • Provide language assistance to non-Japanese speaking production personnel when needed

  • Other department responsibilities as needed


Basic Qualifications

  • Discretion and confidentially required

  • Knowledge of golf required

  • Advanced Japanese ability (reading, writing, speaking)
