Job Description

SUMMARY: Responsible for coordination of all functions relating to Park Services.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage all Supervisors and employees, setting work expectations and leadership standards as well as specific work location efficiency techniques.

  • Offer consistent and timely feedback to Supervisors and employees to ensure proper communication and effective professional growth.

  • Observe and make recommendations to operational functions, job duties and operating procedures to best suit the department and serve the guests.

  • Review and adjust line schedules, budgets and operating costs to conform to the latest business climate and identify savings whenever possible.

  • Ensure Supervisors and Team Members are receiving appropriate feedback and training tools necessary for success, growth and development within the department and company.

  • Motivate Supervisors and employees to receive 100% work time effectiveness and efficiency.

  • Build relationships within the company that benefit the department and ensure cohesiveness throughout the resort.

  • Perform administrative duties which include: Supervisor evaluations, weekly training projections, monthly training budgets, line schedule revisions, Supervisor developmental plans, management scheduling, review of all employee evaluations, PPA's and counselings.

  • Conduct weekly management staff meetings and coordinates employee staff meetings.

  • Coordinate all incentive programs and employee appreciation programs.

  • Develop action plans for TSAT, GSAT and GSERV ratings and communicate these findings to staff.

  • Review all product orders to ensure proper product ordering and maintain cost parameters. Develops operational plans for events such as Halloween Horror nights, Grad Bash, Grinchmas and productions.

  • Serve as liaison for Contract labor company and reviews all operating procedures, hours used and monies spent.

  • Oversee and coordinates volunteer opportunities for the department.

  • Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established Universal Orlando policy, procedures, training and Team Member involvement activities.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: 3 Supervisors direct, 65 employees indirect with 50% of time supervising. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.

  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.

  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume.

  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Consistent attendance is a job requirement.

EDUCATION:

  • High school degree or GED required.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 5-7 years' park services/cleaning experience and 1-3 years' management experience required.

  • 5-7 years of management experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience
