Responsibilities

Role Summary:

The Digital Marketing group is under the umbrella of Universal Pictures mktg. The department is responsible for creating and maintaining an online presence for all theatrical releases across the internet and mobile devices, and is often the arena in which movies are initially introduced to the marketplace. This includes the official websites, online banners and rich media, co-branded websites, and on-line publicity and promotions.

The Manager of Digital Marketing will execute the creative and social strategy for upcoming campaigns. Exceptional communication skills both one-on-one and across all levels of management are crucial. Individuals must be able to handle multiple responsibilities, and to efficiently juggle a workload in the face of shifting priorities and deadlines. On a daily basis, the position requires someone that can take initiative with minimal direction, has the ability to seek out information from appropriate sources and has exceptional follow-through. Attention to detail is extremely important.

Individuals in this job must possess solid computer, writing, and creative skills. Experience with producing websites, display and social media creative, advertising units, custom interactive features, games and mobile extensions is also necessary.

The position reports to the Vice President, Digital Marketing.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Work with digital team to develop break through concepts and ideas for the promotion and marketing of Universal films in the digital space.

  • Work closely with the Director of Digital to implement creative and social media initiatives based on marketing strategy

  • Manage, monitor and execute day-to-day social media campaigns across Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Google+, Instagram, Tumblr, Snapchat, etc.

  • Manage and track deliverables for all social and digital marketing campaigns

  • Oversee the creation and delivery of social creative assets and copy as needed

  • Execute digital ad creative and site takeovers

  • Monitor community feedback and alert team of opportunities to tap into emerging social conversations or new technology

  • Make competent creative and strategic decisions; double-check all work for factual or grammatical errors.

  • Manage creation of department eBlasts and management of database

  • Assist Publicity, Multi-Cultural, International and other departments with the delivery and/ or creation of custom creative assets

  • Work with and manage outside vendors on select projects

Qualifications/Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

  • At least 4 years of experience in the entertainment industry, specifically in digital marketing, social media, production, and/or post-production

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft-based software: Outlook, Word, Excel, and Powerpoint

  • Working knowledge of PhotoShop

  • Experience with community management across social sites (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Vine, Tumblr etc)

  • Knowledge of HTMLEligibility Requirements:
