Responsibilities

The Retail Marketing team is focused on developing strategy and executing marketing programs at retail to support the sell-in and sell-through of consumer products across theNBCUniversal portfolio. We are charged with creating innovative plans that maximize NBCU IP, such as Jurassic World, Despicable Me, Trolls, and more to help ensure long-term success of the brands, and ultimately drive revenue and long-term value for NBCUniversal.

The Retail Marketing Coordinator will support retail marketing efforts with a focus on execution and team support. Reports to Director, Retail Marketing.

Job Duties

Retail Focus:

  • Assist with in-store & online execution across Universal, DreamWorks Animation, and Illumination Entertainment film and television properties.

  • Digital content lead on the retail marketing team, coordinating with Digital Marketing, Franchise, and DreamWorksTV on social and short-form content supporting retail programs.

  • Manage high-level marketing overviews for each property and responsible to keep them up-to-date.

  • Perform store checks and competitive research. Compile all findings into recaps for distribution to the teams. Asset Management & Creative Project Management:

  • Project manager for retail creative asset approvals across all retail accounts and licensees.

  • Work with Asset Management team to grant retailers and their agencies access to NBCUniversal’s MediaBox asset library.

  • Submit creative briefs to Creative Design & Development for project job starts.

  • Route creative, contest rules, and programs to legal for approval as needed. Team Support:

  • Research and track marketing trends weekly and present out to team.

  • Assist with large meetings, including roadshows, studio swings, and Licensing Show.

  • Provide general support to the Retail Marketing team, including scheduling meetings and making them aware of key corporate initiatives and deadlines.

  • Work with Retail Development on timely processing of invoices and POs.

Qualifications/Requirements

Qualifications:

• Ideal candidate will be extremely well organized, able to juggle multiple projects, and wear many hats. No project or task is too small, and he/she must be willing to jump in where needed. The Retail Marketing team is focused and driven, small yet mighty, with a highly collaborative spirit and strong support structure.

• Must be well-versed in Mac and Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and Keynote.

• Knowledge of Photoshop a plus. Down-and-dirty quick-turn mockups for presentations are often required.
