Responsibilities

Job Summary:

The Senior Financial Analyst will play an integral role in managing the financial planning and analysis and for the growing NBC Entertainment Digital business. NBC Entertainment Digital is a fast paced, innovative marketing and technology group that builds award-winning digital products with the unique benefits of high profile, recognized content and the backing of a world leading media company.

This individual will support financial analysis for the NBC Entertainment Digital P&L, including reporting on multi-platform revenue and managing investments within with the technology, creative and business development teams. Core responsibilities include owning the day to day financial operations, reporting within NBC and to Corporate, driving controllership, leading critical strategic projects, and acting as a finance resource for the Digital team.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and long-range financial plans for NBC Digital, including variance reporting and analysis on both a total and project-level basis.

  • Manage critical quarterly closes and related compliance activities (e.g., pacing, accruals, general ledger queries and management, executive reporting, etc.).

  • Lead all accounts payable, fixed asset, and prepaid processes with a strong controllership mindset.

  • Improve existing financial reporting through automation, standardization and simplification.

  • Formulate and drive executive presentations for use within division and Corporate leadership.

  • Project manage key NBCUniversal initiatives, including partnering with Corporate and Digital data teams.

  • Create ad hoc Excel models, including scenario planning for show greenlights.

Qualifications/Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or related field.

  • Minimum of 2-5 years of progressive experience in Accounting and/or Finance.

  • General ledger experience and knowledge of GAAP.

  • Proficient with MS Office Suite products - particularly Excel & PowerPoint.Eligibility Requirements:

  • Entertainment/Digital experience strongly desired.

  • Solid systems & data management skills (look-ups, reports, pivot tables); experience in SAP/BPC a plus.

  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
