Responsibilities

In this role, you will be an integral part of the OT&S team that handles Capital for all lines of business – such as construction of new stages and equipment for productions like The Voice, wardrobe for productions on the Lot, remodeling of our facilities, technical equipment for the distribution of our content to the NBC Networks and Affiliates, Security, and Environmental Health. You will serve as a partner to each of these different businesses and will be responsible for assisting them with all aspects of capital lifecycle, from initial appropriation to the end of an asset’s life.

Here what you’ll do in this role

  • Prepare monthly / quarterly deliverables and key metrics for closes and estimates

  • Drive process improvements by leveraging technology and challenging current processes

  • Improve and monitor key controls to ensure compliance with US GAAP and NBCUniversal Fixed Asset Policy

  • Analyze Close Out Forms to ensure proper capitalization and categorization of in-service assets

  • Collaborate with Operations in physical inventories driven by internal and external clients

  • Assist in internal and external audits of the Company’s assets and capital policies

  • Partner with Tax to ensure proper property tax accounting

  • Perform ad-hoc reporting, analysis, and other special projects

Qualifications/Requirements

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Finance or Accounting

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in finance or accounting

  • General ledger experience and knowledge of GAAP

  • Proficient with MS Office Suite products - particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
