Overview

To provide clerical and administrative sales support, ensuring smooth internal and external operations, enabling effective sales to Universal’s Parks and Resorts.

Reporting to the Director of Sales and working with the wider sales team, this role involves liaising with travel partners and head office personnel in the USA.

Key Responsibilities

•Work closely with the Director of Sales and wider sales team, providing general clerical and administrative support to the sales team function

•Assist with the planning and execution of impactful meetings, travel trade and consumer shows, sales missions, road-shows, familiarisation trips and hospitality events

•Responsibility for merchandise and collateral storage, fulfilment and distribution

•Gather and collate data and intelligence, and prepare reports, presentations, performance and finance evaluation documents

•Occasional attendance at company and industry events

•Office based primary internal sales point of contact for the UK and US based teams

•Administrative contact for sales clients and general sales enquiries

•Other duties may be assigned on an ad hoc basis

•Updating and distributing weekly statistical reports

•Adhering to internal procedures

•Managing daily correspondence and requests

•Co-ordinating and attending team meetings as required

•Representing the company and brand at travel industry functions

•Managing telephone enquiries, emails, administration and filing systems as required to ensure efficiency of department

Business Experience/Education/Skill Requirements

•Experience in a similar support role required

•Experience of working within the Travel Industry desirable but not essential

•A high competency in using Microsoft applications; Excel, PowerPoint and Word

•Sales Force experience desirable but not essential

•Excellent attention to detail

•Excellent written and verbal communication skills essential

•Ability to multitask, prioritise workload effectively and meet deadlines

•Good team working, communication and interpersonal skills

•Willing to travel within the UK and abroad when needed

•Strong team player and ability to build effective relationships quickly

•Willingness and flexibility to adapt to new challenges and changes to the role
