JOB SUMMARY : The Manager, Mobile Delivery will be responsible for strategic program management, leadership and delivery of mobile applications across UPR client groups. This role requires experience in strategy definition, systems analysis, and delivery of mobile solutions that are flexible and can easily accommodate changing business needs and technology trends, can deliver rich experiences for our customers, and are cost effective. This role also requires initiative, strong program management skills, and experience in solution implementation. The manager will serve as the expert on mobile delivery initiatives, resource management and budgets.
This role partners with various technology and client groups to ensure the strategic project methodology is appropriately followed. The role will be responsible for identifying appropriate resources for the projects, whether they are existing Universal Parks personnel or external resources.
As programs or projects advance through the project lifecycle, the manager will work with senior leaders within the technology organization, and ensure a seamless transition of the completed applications from Solution Delivery to the responsible Operations team for its continued support and maintenance.
Vendor selection and management will be key, as this role will be responsible for varying aspects of vendor management to include drafting or approving SOW’s, RFP’s, vendor evaluation, budgeting, monitoring progress through implementation.
Lead mobile application development and implementation teams in conjunction with the Project Management Office. Responsible for the program management of multiple projects including project initiation, scoping and approval, project staffing and project implementation.
Assemble development teams to effectively address multiple clients’ requirements according to the specified program’s objectives, schedule and budget. Ensure that the program delivery is timely, successful, and meets or exceeds the client group’s expectations.
Develop and maintain an effective relationship with client group senior leadership, building strong working relationships.
Lead vendor selection and management including oversight of drafting SOW’s, RFP’s, vendor evaluation, budgeting, monitoring progress through to implementation.
4+ years’ experience delivering mobile solutions on iOS and/or Android platforms.
8+ years’ experience in a large Information Technology or consulting organization with proven experience partnering with client groups in support of managing complex, multi-year and multi-location projects and programs, including the creation and management of program associated budgets.
Hands-on experience in mobile development technology platforms.
Proven successful experience in vendor selection and management for a wide range of IT solutions
Expert knowledge of IT functionality and integration across business processes
Expert knowledge and application of systems development and project management processes in relation to the initiation, analysis, design, management and implementation of complex projects involving multi-discipline initiatives across the enterprise
Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to make effective decisions while working through complex personality, program, and business interest related issues
Well-developed critical thinking and communication skills (written and oral)
