JOB SUMMARY : Supports the Legal Department by drafting and reviewing boilerplate contracts, addenda and amendments; assists attorneys in drafting, reviewing and revising more complex contracts; maintains department tickler systems, status reports and corporate records; assists attorneys in responding to document requests and compiling reports; conducts legal research.
*Contracts Experience highly desired
Supports discrete business areas by drafting and reviewing boilerplate agreements, and addenda and other legal documents.
Assists attorneys in drafting, reviewing and revising more complex contracts.
Assists in maintaining department tickler systems, status reports and corporate records.
Assists attorneys in responding to document requests and generating, compiling and organizing legal reports.
Conducts legal research.
Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION: Associate’s degree (AA) is required – Paralegal Certificate (Bachelor’s degree from a four year college or university acceptable in lieu of a Paralegal Certificate). Bachelor’s degree is preferred – B.A. in Legal Studies or a related field
EXPERIENCE: Minimum 2 years corporate legal or law firm experience required; 3-5 years preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must be able to work in a high-paced environment handling multiple tasks at the same time; and must maintain confidentiality of projects, legal and business information at all times.
Consistent attendance is a job requirement.
