JOB SUMMARY : Supervises the day-to-day operation of the 3 rd shift welders, painters and fiberglass technicians. Facilitates the hiring, training and scheduling of employees for the work area.


  • Supervises the 3rd shift Central Shops technicians with hands on involvement. Responds to all attraction needs and works to resolve such issues in an expedient manner. Interfaces with 1st shift on a daily basis to ensure shop work continues in a timely manner.

  • Responsible for training, development and scheduling all employees of the Supervisor’s maintenance department. Administers Universal Orlando policies and procedures, to include disciplinary action, counseling and attendance tracking. Assists with the hiring process and performing staffing selections

  • Troubleshooting problem situations. Works with engineers to improve operational reliability, safety and serviceability for rides, shows and facilities.

  • Maintains records of maintenance repairs for daily work completed.

  • Manager time and attendance, vacations, PTO time, leave of absence, etc.

EDUCATION: High school or GED required. Associate’s degree (AA) or equivalent from two year college or technical school preferred.

EXPERIENCE: 5-7 years of technical and trade experience required – preferably with paint and fiberglass. 1-3 years of Supervisory experience required.
